The centre party relaunched to challenge historically elite political parties

Relaunched and Rebranding the (British) Social Media Party as WAP (World Alliance Party).

The website, that shut down last January, is returning from internet limbo ~but as WAP~ is hoping to reconnect with its users and revive its fortunes.

"We're happy that we've returned under our improved charter," Cyberpunk65, their political leader said yesterday. "Now we need to maximise this opportunity to build our party congress."

The decision to relaunch itself as an open, multi-faith party is more than a challenge, it's a promise to change modern politics completely.

So welcome to the WAP - WORLD, Alliance Party ~ we welcome all.

A World Party - A Revolution

Eventually, the world as we know it will cease to exist. It will become one nation, one singularity. With a single governing body, a single currency, a single agenda. That's the world I can't wait to be in.

Take away political nationalism and you have no need for country embargos. Remove nation-states and there can be no world wars

What happens in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, or the US should be as important to anyone as what's happening in their own country; it's important to every human being on this planet. What happen in the political area effects economies - and that affects lives in so many ways.

If there's trouble in Russia today, it could spill-over into any other country across the world. This has happened in many of the Muslim countries over the past few years. Riots take on an energy and a life of their own; social media takes the mantle and continues it elsewhere.

Borders have little meaning when peoples in separate continents can converse and plan strategies through Facebook or Twitter or a myriad of other sites. Gamers can become terrorist by using a few choice words to other gamers.

The web has no safe zones. There is no hiding behind a countries lax or hacker-friendly laws.

There needs to be a focus on the creation of a world of democracy, peace and prosperity for all. For the welfare of the whole world and the new world order. A world financial system dominated by the political system of each country but with a centralized head. Credit controlled by one fund, so everyone has the same chances.

Bankers think they own the earth. Our plan is to take it away from them. The power to create money and control credit should be in the hands of the people; in the hands of a world government run to help the people, not harm them. I want nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in public hands, nothing less than the economy of the whole world.

The power of the internet is so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that it encompasses everything. This world conspiracy of social media has been steadily growing. This conspiracy plays a definite recognizable role in most peoples' lives; and it will become the mainspring of every political movement during the 21st Century. At last this extraordinary wellspring from the underworld of the Geek has gripped the world's people by their hair and become the undisputed master of commerce. The growth of social media has made it possible to centralize the world's economic control for the direct benefit of the people (and not all current economic groups).

A new British political party launched 10/09/2012: The Social Media Party. “A cross-party party” designed to appeal to members from the full political spectrum.

We believe in a state that allows individuals to take part in the decision-making process that affects their lives, to contribute fully to that society (and their own communities) to attain these ideals. United by a common belief in respect, equality, education, and social justice.    -The (British) Social Media Party’s mission statement claims.

So why is this non-entity (unknown) taking on the big three? Because with the help of the social media world any party can!

To put it in their words: “We can out-campaign them. This is a social media world and the main three are still thinking mainstream. They Tweet and Like now rules the globe.”

It’s obvious that they’re switched-on to the technicalities of a digital environment, but is it possible for a non-entity to really take on these titans?

Well the Green party was once a non-entity and now they have a nice percentage of the votes. Labour too were once newcomers on the political scene (now they are major players).

So how does the Social Media Party expect to go from zero to hero?

“We promise all our voters power. Power of autonomy, power to choose policies, power to decide how their vote will count.”

Is this a return to a call for proportional representation?

“In social media terms, every like and each tweet counts, so should every single vote! That’s true democracy in action!”

But can they win elections?

“I believe we can! Elections are all about numbers. Twitter and Facebook are our battle grounds. Once something goes viral theirs no stopping it! We just need to go viral. Lol.”

Today is the birth of a new political party

(British) Social Media Party

If you look at the party-system we currently have, its obvious none of the major players seem to have a clue how to use social media for political gain.

Once they get to grips with it not being about mico-party-political broadcasts, then they might get somewhere. But with only a handful of MPs sharing the nouce or having the gumption to use social media properly, it makes the Social Media political party very threatening to the big three.

Say, for instance, that the MPs with social media skills had formed their own party (a party formed across the political divides) with the sole purpose of changing the political scene and really allowing the people to have their say; they would sweep the boards!

It would be a landslide win!

Their former parties wouldn't know what hit them!

Social Media can be that effective.

One of the reasons social media works is diversity. So they would have to put aside previous party squabbles with this realisation in mind.

Could it work? Yes. Would politicians put aside petty differences to gain the ultimate power? You bet!

Policies are easy: let the people decide. (Then there can never be a backlash. You wanted it you got it. It was your idea.) Who could argue with such logic.
Mass media would be part of the championing process. (The British press loves an underdog. And if they try to sabotage a campaign? Then the strengths of social media would batter their arguments with mass rebuttles. Even the press can't fight - all reader demographics - everyone!)

This is the beauty of the idea. Win on all levels. It's a win win situation! That really is the power of the tweet and the like.

All we need now is a few politicians to start the ball rolling.

Got to love the (British) Social Media political party.
